Self Measurement Is NOT Advisable, enlist the aid of another person to help.

A= Length from top of hipbone to bottom of kilt

B= Hip measurement   (loose)

C= Waist measurement (firm, "snug")

D= Height of person

The kilt is normally worn with the bottom reaching the top of the knee-cap, this is measured to 11/4 inches above the floor when kneeling and keeping the body erect with arms straight at sides and head high (looking down will result in wrong length). We add 2 inches to this measurement to give the total length of kilt.
